The ancient Toltec culture of Central Mexico is the origin of a very deep and esoteric spiritual philosophy. This spiritual tradition concerned the development of what is called a “divinized heart” within a human being. This concept concerns the opening and spiritual development of the Heart Center in a human being in a very particular way. By uniting the sacred energies of Earth and sky within oneself through various spiritual disciplines, a person could achieve enlightenment as well as ascend or evolve beyond the confines of the physical plane.
Much of this profound body of knowledge is still contained within what is called the Teachings of the Feathered Serpent – Quetzalcoatl. Quetzalcoatl was a great teacher or avatar of light in the old Toltec culture who taught that a human being could realize their true divine nature by the practice of certain psycho-spiritual disciplines. Another term that is used for this body of Knowledge is the Toltec Path of the Heart. By working with the Heart Center , a balanced spiritual path was followed that allowed the seeker to purify their consciousness at all levels and evolve to a higher level.
The knowledge of this Toltec Path of the Heart has never completely disappeared. It has been handed down from teacher to student for many centuries and even survived the Spanish conquest of Mexico . In recent years, this ancient and profound wisdom has emerged from hiding and is quickly taking its rightful place among a number of other great world spiritual traditions. It is now possible to study and learn much of this knowledge from teachers who have learned and practiced these profound spiritual disciplines from the Toltec and Mayan elders of Mexico .
